Cookie Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

The short version: essential cookies only. Nothing that tracks you, nothing for ads, nothing for analytics. Just the cookie that keeps you signed in.

1. The one-line summary

CommentatorOS sets only the cookies it needs to work. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers of any kind.

2. Essential cookies we set

  • Authentication cookies (names beginning sb-): set by our sign-in system (Supabase) when you log in, so you stay signed in securely between pages. They are removed when you sign out and expire automatically.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the service you asked for, the law does not require consent for them. That is why you see a short notice rather than an accept or reject banner.

3. Local storage

We also use your browser's local storage for small conveniences that never leave your device and identify nothing about you:

  • whether you have already seen the welcome tour, so it does not replay on every visit
  • whether you have dismissed the cookie notice

4. Payments

When you pay, checkout happens on Stripe's own secure pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud prevention and to process your payment; those are governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie policies.

5. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential cookies will sign you out and prevent the portal from working, because they are what keeps your session secure.
